Yeen-Lan Lam in Nairobi, Kenya We will see you again March 19, 2010

Robert and Pat have 181 spiritual children in Nairobi, Kenya. They are your children because of your support in prayer, finance and encouragement to me, your representative caring for God's orphan children at Rafiki Village Kenya.  We have been praying for and with Robert and Pat ever since we knew of Robert's affliction. We thank God that Robert's suffering has ended. At the same time, we stand with Pat, Stephanie and David to seek our Lord's strength, encouragement and hope for you. Jesus said in John 11:25,26 "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."  Robert and Pat believe Jesus.  I believe Jesus.  A large number of the children here believe Jesus.  So we will all see Robert again.  This is our hope and our joy.  Please know that as Robert's memorial service is conducted tomorrow in NY, we in NBI though miles away, stand with Pat, Stephanie and David and loved ones to glorify our Lord for the very full life that Robert had lived.  John 10:10 Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."  Robert's life may not be many earthly years but he lived a full life in Jesus.  To God be all glory and praise!

Dear Pat,

My deepest sympathy and condolences to you, Stephanie and David. I will always remember my dear friend "Rob" and how he used to call me "png", back then in campus. Robert was always full of energy and with his wit and cheerful disposition, there was never a dull moment when he was around.

May you find comfort and strength in the Lord during this time of grief and loss. See you back in Singapore. Meanwhile, please take care.  God bless.

I remember him as an easy-going and unassuming badminton champ in school.  My deepest sympathy and condolences to Pat, Stephanie and David.  God bless.

Dear Pat, Stephanie and David, We will always remember our happy times with Robert which always involved a meal. Robert was a great food enthusiast and if we ever get to eat at the Modern we will think of him and his restaurant recommendations. Robert was a very upbeat and courageous person and we admire the way he was so dedicated to updating his website in spite of the difficult medical regimen that he underwent. Things must seem a bit surreal for you. Please do not hesitiate to let us know if you need any help. Love, Cheryl, Shao, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Jonathan Wang

I will always remember Robert (Loke Koo - 6th uncle) as someone who would go out of his way to help me. Knowing how homesick I must have felt during my first year of studies in US, Robert invited me to spend Christmas with him in Michigan. But a terrible snow storm that winter shut the airport down and prevented me from going. Pat, I often recall how you and Robert made me feel so 'at home' when I first returned from overseas. Robert and you would come and pick me up from home and bring me to attend service in your church. And then to lunch before sending me home. I will always remember your kindness, which was a big step in bringing me closer to God. Although I have not kept in touch with him closely all these years, I will miss Loke Koo. And, I thank God for giving us such a shining testimony for God. We rest assured that Robert is happy with the Lord.Psalm 23:1-4.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul;He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me -

Robert is indeed God's child. I remember him as someone very friendly and humble. God has prepared the Heavenly Home for him. Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want..." and indeed like what the Psalmist says: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of  the Lord forever.

God bless Pat and your family with abundant love and wisdom.

Our deepest & Heartfelt Condolences to Pat, Stephenie & David.

Some of us remember him as a good Badminton player who represented ACS in the late 60's thru early 70's.

May you find everlasting peace Robert. May your family take comfort & gain strength in knowing you are in a better place free from this human bondage of any pain you may have endured. You have touched many in your travels & had much success at DBSVUSA, too bad I wasn't able to be a part of the legacy you leave behind. My condolences to your family
