Dear Pat, Stepanie and David, My heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear husband and father. I first met Robert about four years ago and subsequently had the blessing and privilege to enjoy his energy, enthusiasm, humour and hospitality whenever I was in New York to attend his well-embraced investor events. His energy and enthusiasm were overflowing and contagious, always creating such a warm and fun atmosphere, such that my jetlag would miraculously disappear. It was also always enjoyable to be provided such great hospitality by a fellow Singaporean in a foreign land, although I think that Robert struck me as very much a citizen of the world and I now see that his great hospitality was his gift from our Lord. Hearing of his passing was a deeply sad event for me but having read his words on this memorial website, I realise that Robert is still speaking to us from Heaven. And we should all take comfort that he has returned to Heaven, and we shall someday be reunited with him. Robert will continue to live on in my heart. May the Lord be with you in your grief and comfort you. On behalf of everybody at Boustead, I would like to say that we will all miss him.

You have been a great colleague and friend... you have updated us through FB on the economics of daily life whether on the latest apple product or gadget. Your presence and joyful smile will be missed...

I enjoyed working with Robert since the 1990's, and am very saddened to have heard the news filter across the net here in Hong Kong. Robert, you are working wonders even now as this website technology has enabled our fondest memories of you continue to grow around the world. You have indeed triumphed over the "evil one" and blessings to you as you sit at the right of hand of God. I shall always remember your unconditional support during my worst struggles as we grew in the industry together. My prayers are wtih you and your family.

Dear Pat, Stephanie and David: who can ever forget a person like Robert? He was always so energetic, funny and he is "larger than life" itself! Indeed while the last few days we keep thinking about Robert, deep in our hearts we also know that he will want us to move on and embrace the life that we are having today.... See you in Heaven Robert!

Dear Robert,

You will always be missed by us,  the DBSV family.   In particular, we will always miss your passion, your zest and your smile in the workplace.    You achieved  a lot for us and we are truely grateful for your great effort in building up the US office.  In the past few months, I was saddened by news of the pain you were going through.  I am happy that you are smiling again.

It was great to know and worked with you in the past. I can still vividly recall all the post result calls and interesting debates on the property market in Singapore... You will be missed and may you rest in peace.

Pat, Stephanie and David, the news of Robert's passing came as a shock to us. Although we lived only a year in Shorthills, our memories of that period are filled with the many outings and gatherings with Robert and you all as well as other friends there. Robert initiated many of the outings and, more importantly, he was always the "live wire" at these occasions. Robert was always cheerful and even somewhat playful. That's how we will always remember him.
